Re:

Elgegant Stealth, Mud Slick, Leaf and Stream...

My brother, born in '56, was 9 yrs older than me. I was fortunate to 'inherit' a lot of his record collection, which included lots of this stuff. It kinda shaped my musical awareness from an early age. Still got these albums which I'm steadily iTuning.

Behind our shed, we're going to build a 'cairn henge', hopefully in time for this summer's solstice, and re-enact the cover of Argus.

I love that album...

Throw down the sword, da da da de da daaaaaa

I expect photographic evidence, especially of you in THAT helmet.

Re:

I'm now up to Blowin' Free...

I'll try to oblige, Karl. I've got a military-esque skate lid style helmet, which could be further embellished. I've got various old multi-pronged cultivators I've picked from stalls here and there. I'm sure I can sort out the cape.

Behind the shed, we've made a clearing in the undergrowth. The 'dead hedge' is progressing and we've got a selection of woodland shade plants and bulbs to follow its path. The middle of the shady clearing will soon feature a cairn using all the bits of stone we've dug up, tiles, broken bricks, etc. Hope to get some pics up shortly.

Now up to 'Warrior'...

Indeed – all going well now?

getting somewhere now, my back is a lot better so im able to crack on

Hey, that's good news – glad you're back is better and you're more able to crack on. Just take it steady though, as back problems have a nasty habit of returning just when you could do without.

Re:

Very pleased so far. Only failure has been the Pak Choi which bolted - probably due to being planted out too early. My early spuds are particularly impressive.

Re:

That's a nice little plot you've got there. I like your 'helper' in the top pic.

Shame about the pak choi. I think the unusually wet but warm conditions earlier this year caused a few things to bolt.

The sudden sun and heatwave this week fried quite a few of our various seedlings which were coming along very nicely :x

But now warmer and sunnier, it's time to get the sweetcorn going.

Re:

Anyone ever seen this before? Was cutting back a shrub this eve, and found this. All the rest were normal 'round cross section.
