If I remember rightly, Onza just took someone else's design (it could well have been Specialized working with the company that actually made them) they didn't want it so Onza jumped on them and stuck Onza on them.
And then lost a bit of money...

I think you're right. At any rate, someone buy these, clean them up then run 75V DC through them and anodize 3DV.
