From what I can see, the threads look good too.
If both bearing surfaces are smooth, I'd clean both cups up and reuse them.
Unless you've access to some bottom bracket taps (which I'm seriously considering getting myself as I do a lot of repairs for other people) Take an old toothbrush with some solvent cleaner and clean the threads out that way.
