Pickle - as a new father I admire your ability to have a clear workshop.

For me, the time it takes to get a project completed is directly proportionate to the time it takes for dependents to follow me to the shed.

I'm currently working to a 2 kids, 1 pregnant wife, 1 beagle puppy ratio.

My maths isn't good enough to work out the probabilities, but I can say that the net result averages at around a 12 minute 'tinker time': i.e. what can be done before detection puts pay to fettling.

With a 3-escape-attempts-a-week average, that gives about 36 minutes/ week greasy rag activity.

Net result is a 'fairly long' lead time on MTB projects. [But that's part of the fun: anticipation].

of the list below in my signature, the cougar is in the process but i have the d2 so no rush and the coppi i have no plans to build until the cougar is finished but everythingelse is ready to ride, i try and keep the bikes built even if the spec isn't what i want at the time. oh the old clockwork isn't built at the mo coz it's at the painters but it will be as soon as it comes back!
