UN54 BB problem

Does any one of you helpful retrobikers have one of these (without the crack please) to get me out of a tricky situation? The pic shows the crack in the plastic NDS cup of a UN54 bottom bracket .



I first noticed said crack about a year ago but it didn't affect the rest of the BB which is in very good mechanical condition considering I bought it around thirteen years ago and this is the third bike it's been in, all of them used for commuting. Thanks for looking

I might have one. Metal version though, but I think they are all swappable on the Shimsno cartridge type BB's

Maybe it's time for a new bottom bracket as a Xmas treat for the bike :xmas-wink:

Metal version is fine The one in the pic has the flange which butts up to the shell. let me know if you dig it out from the dark recesses of wherever it might be Ha Ha
The rest of the BB is in great nick - if I can't find a cup for it I might be tempted to put the cracked one back in. It came out with no problem at all.
