I was adding a bit more, had to save as I go and edit as phone is playing up, I need a new one, poor thing is getting old. So will not be able to make phone calls once 3G is turned of.

Give it a go.
I have 5kg tubs of the stuff but never thought to use it for that.
Might try it.
It would probably just be used up by our super hard water ;-)

Quick though, copper...
Bushing and the like.
I think citric would may bugger them up over the time unless it was cleaning them first.
Trial and error. Check your metals.
