UK winter temperature

And the even colder Rosedale Ride back in January. We had snow on the ground for 9 weeks in total. The snow was over 3 metres deep in places.

Being as Retrobikers are double hard, Green Rabbit and I did a 10 mile TT on 1 January coming in a creditable 2nd and 4th. There was ice on the roads and it was -2 degrees. I'll not be doing it again this year, it was horrible.

I will be a mild winter this year and it will all be thanks to me. I have just taken delivery of some Schwalbe ice tyres, mmm spiked tungsten traction, so it will not snow or get icy at all.

I took this picture and was wearing jeans, a cotton t-shirt, a long sleeved Adidas top and an M&S wind and water proof fleece.


I was sweating.
