UK winter temperature

That is a really big question and one that cannot be answered easily.

This is a link to Leeds weather, this then links to other weather sites.

If i was asked by Johnny F I would say 10 to -2

If it's anything like last winter, bloody cold. We had the coldest winter for a very long time down here.

I'm in Nottingham and at the end of a summer I just love to have completely forget what it's like in deep mid-winter with a wind ripping the chill factor down a few notches more. I ask because I've deciding on some Assos winter gear and I want to get the most usable items and Assos gives quite precise temperature ranges for each of its jerseys.

In the picture above (me in the centre with RB gilet) I am wearing a Canterbury cold baselayer, DHB Runcton top, Endura RB gilet, Pearl Izumi cyclone gloves, endura thermolite skull cap, roubaix leggings, Endura waterproof shorts, RB endura bib shorts, merino socks & Endura thermolite socks. Specialized Defroster SPD boots.

The answer is layers and lots of them. You can always remove one if needed. The temperature on the day of the photo was below zero all day long.

Hope you join us on some of our rides near you (see my signature for details) ;) We ride through ALL weather (test your gear out!!).

If you get tired of winter over there, come check out California. Here in Northern California it can hit freezing, but almost never. Here is a pic. from last November's Thanksgiving day ride.
