UK based anodisers?

Hi all.

I'm after a bit of help.

We have a local anodising firm we use here every now and then, and they are good. However I've just discovered they won't do 3DV Purple, they say they can't get the quality they want because it fades to much in UV. I'm not bothered about that, because the bits shouldn't see sunlight that much.

But because of the issues they don't offer the colour.

Sooooo does anyone know a UK based anodiser who'll do 3DV and ideally has some experience of bike parts? I've got a few bits I need to get done.

I use Acorn plating, don't know if they do 3DV but they are very experienced in bike parts. A couple of examples of what they have done for me.

Thanks, I've just checked their website and they've got "purple" listed, so I'll give them a shout and see what they can do.

I did discuss some other coating and anodising stuff with them which they said they can do and have done in the past.

Been trying to get hold of Acorn all week but no one is answering the phone

Have used them before and was pleased with the result, so I’m keen to use them again.

spot on, thanks that's the sort of recommendation i needed, and the right colour. Now we just need them to pick up the phone or reply to my email!

I dont meen to hijack the thread, BUT, is the frames paint original? Has it been retouched? it looks too good for original.

It’s original, looks ok from a few feet away, but close up….not so good.

Did you get anywhere yet?
I managed to get through after letting the phone ring for a looooooooong time, only to get cut off when they tried to 'transfer' me. Haven't tried again yet.
