Slooooow progress. I almost quit on it. The search for a fork was a pain, until I got a message from someone on IG that had an original one. It arrived … unfortunately just a hair too short and I was already having trouble with the paint chipping easily so I didn’t want to face down the frame. Took forever to get it lengthened until I found Mark Beaver (Tamerack in Nova Scotia). He’s been a major help on a lot of my stalled projects in need of the torch.
The two-tone paint is clear-coated to protect the transfers and give an overall professional quality look. An up or down-pull front derailleur can be fitted. The down pull was popular in the late 80’s.
