I am running reduced pressures, about 40psi and they work well, even on mixed ground, snow and ice.

If 40psi is your reduced pressure, I'm curious to know what you run normally.

Bring back the old Panaracers, the reto guys and gals need them.

But is there anything like them available now ?

Or has that goodness gone forever.

They are still making Smokes and Darts. They are only blackwall now.
I bought mine in the USA, about $20 each!

I'm not sure that anyone imports them into the UK, though.

I rode 8miles on the canal to work this morning. I use maxxis minions 42a super tacky, in DH size, 2.5, at 40psi. The soft compound tread works really well (in any wet conditions) & in the snow, & the high pressure reduce RR. I use the same setup for the Megavalanche every year, but have a highroller on the rear.

Ive always had the feeling Maxxis tyres are underated by a lot of xc riders ?? shame really, they are very popular in Downhill.. (where you really need grip)

itsbeen minus 6 here all day...flappin freezing...been stuck indoors allday with the kids beeing force fed christmas films....arrghhhhhhhhhhhh

Pana Spikes after tonights bimble in the dark and the snow...
