Tyre Q

I bought a wheelset and they came with a set of Michelin XCR dry[2] Tubeless tyres that I may use on a another wheelset, but the sidewall is a bit of a concern, I'm not sure if it's a flaw or it's a 'feature.' It's pretty consistent across both sidewalls of both tyres, so I'm kind of leaning towards a feature...

Anyone have any experience with these tyres?

That's definitely not a feature, on any tyre. Looks like it's been run when flat, damaging the sidewalls.

I didn't literally mean a feature; old IT term for a bug. Tyres have a ribbed sidewall when new and the rubber has worn to the canvas where the ribs were, but otherwise seem solid, they don't show any signs of having been run flat. The tyres were free, so into the recycling they go.

I think 't's just the ribbed sides design for enhanced pleasure when riding them.
