Had to root through the boxes today and found two original Crud Guards which have been catching dust rather than crud for a few years (….more like twenty…).
Both are perfect, logo intact, little used. The fixings are good on both.
Both have the stainless P clips.
For some obscure reason known only to those capable of time travel, one has the stays fixed on the bottom of the guard and the other on the top. Since I saw many at the time (90s) in either configuration, I think it’s more of a personal choice than function.
I mithered about selling these since it’s almost certainly the case that I will need one the moment I sell these. I have an additional green one which is doing sterling service on the commuter Cannondale so I guess I can make do…..
