I picked up one a while ago which i think is slightly earlier than yours- must get round to rebuilding it..............................

Yeh that Element is nice - lets hear a full description and some closeup pics!

Fixed the link so you can just click on it. It's got some nice (if you like that kind of thing) late 90's stuff on it - Chicken Stix, X-Lite bar ends, Race Face cranks, Pace carbon front hub. I came without a rear wheel and the rear mech apparently got trashed by in transit home from the US.

my friend tinks wrapped one around a car in the lake district some years ago.

This is very nice! Have a later varient,a 2004 5-Spot.Has the Horst link so still could be considered retro! Just been resprayed this year.Handles superbly and the design can obviously handle with the best of most current designs,just look at Specialised! Could do with looking for an early o2 or maybe a Stinger?

Well it definitely has a twin. As I nearly bought a 96 frame in yellow which still had the two tone (black/red) decals.

Talking to Dave a while back, yellow wasn't that common (and still isn't), and yellow ones don't all look the same

Yellow seemed to be a popular colour to bring into the UK though - I blame Jamie Hibbard fault. I know of at least 5 different yellow Burners from that era, 3 of which had been built up as XC machines, and two as DH, with red Judys and Hope Big-Un hubs.

So you can identify these rear ends then Model and year?

Ok yellow was more popular in the UK

I'm led to believe that i have the only yellow Turner in Australia, but I'm assuming they are less common here...

That's a sweet machine you've got there! Good to see it's getting ridden too.

I think a 95 Turner Burner is the only retro build i'd have a go at if I saw one in good nick. As someone said above, the first generation were ahead of their time. I had a go on one back then when I was racing which made me realise how poor the back end of my FSR was in comparison.
