It was going to be a surprise initially but cat got out of the bag as it were but for him to see the bike inthe flesh, to hear the work that was put in & take it home was a tad overwhelming for him but a joyous occasion as I’m extremely happy it’s gone to the right placeAmazing! Did you tell him in advance and did he know about the bike, or was it just one big surprise?
The Columbus Air tubing was hard to pin down but I found the OMAS big sliding headset in black the hardest part to track down so yes costs tended to increase but to get a bike done for a legend it takes paitence, research, haggling & time to get it done. The most important part is the person you are building it for fully approvesDoh! I don’t even want to speculate on the cost and effort you put into your bikes. To see them handed over to the riders you built them in tribute to is a great thing. But to be on the receiving end of that must just be on another level. No wonder he was a bit overwhelmed!
