trying to identify this Giant bikes year? any idea on weight?

trying to find out which shifters this bike has alongside its weight.

Hard to tell but looks to be around 1990/91 model year

400LX with steel rings

do you know much about this bike? would it be an okay buy at £70?
i intend to change the gears on it though in due time

what sort of gears? the push-push shifters on there are fine and may just need new cables and a regrease

Probably weighs about 4 metric tonnes

I wouldn't buy it for £70 as it doesn't have much retro value, but as a working it's probably worth that.

Not worthy of upgrade just ride and enjoy

£70 for a tidy example as good transport or a decent tourer? Makes sense. It's a decent functional bike.
Collectability / enthusiast value isn't much.
