For Sale Trek US Postal 5500 for sale

Retro Newbie
Hi,

For sale is my US Postal 5500. It is an original 1999 bike in the famous red white and blue. The blue is a fabulous metallic. It has the original Campagnolo Record Titanium groupset on it, and the original Look pedals. It was previously owned from new by an ex French Pro and national rider. I bought it while in Soouthern France about 10 years ago. Since then it has been on my office wall. The saddle is a Concor supercorsa and has only been sat on once. It has genuinely only been ridden once during my whole ownership. Everything works. Wheels, the original Rolf vector pros are perfect. To see it and ride it is to love it. Only selling because I have to.
I am in Southern England, but can post at extra cost.

Classic. I didn't take to the look of these in their day, probably not helped that I didn't like Lance (even before his troubles), but now think they are smart. Unexpected - but good - to see Campagnolo on it, I always think Shimano would be a natural partner for Trek.

What size is it, please?

Fair price, I think.

Hi,
I'm 5ft 9 and it fits me...size of frame I'm not exactly sure but around a 54 I think. I ride a smaller frame in older bikes since the stem and bars are that much bigger than more modern bikes. But to be honest, this bike was bought just for its appearance as its been on my wall. They are lovely things and still so light to pick up.
First carbon bike to win the tour. Last quill stem to win the tour, and lightest production bike in the world at the time.

A few more pics.
