Thanks, sorry it's taking so long. I took a trip to Portland OR for a month of hiking and biking.

Completed.

Took her out for the first trail ride. The trail is singletrack at the base of the foothills similar to a roller coaster. What a blast to ride.

Here is the breakdown on the build.

I have the option to go with discs in the future and still may change the fork to Surly Big Dummy.

$646.00 U.S. for a complete custom bike that rides awesome and looks cool. If you can find one of these frames I highly recommend you snag it.

There is also a 7 speed option of the same frame with brake mounts. That will be my next build.

Interesting. Been on a couple rides and did'nt notice any flex. Actually I thought they worked really well on some very steep hills.

hey man seen your posts on MTBR
I am in the process of building something similar, but different :)
I got lucky and bought of CL a spicer Ti cruiser frame who's geometry is proper for mtbing
Got some questions for you.
1) what is the length of the fork you have? axel to crown
2) those are 26" wheels right?
3) how are those vbrake mounts working out? hard to get aligned right? issue with it loosening over time ?
I know someone else did a similar build on this same trek on MTBR. I really like the look of your build. great job

1) 16 inches. I am thinking of changing to a Surly fork.
2) They are 26" wheels with bmx hubs.
3) The vbrake mounts hold tight and easy to align. took about 15 minutes to adjust.

The bike on MTBR was cool but I wanted more of a trail bike. That one had a coaster bake.
