Trek Singletrack XC 930 1997

Greetings from Portugal

Saw the ad for this bike a few times in the portuguese version of gumtree, and I just couldn't resist it.
I'm in my mid thirties and have a vivid memory of treks of this era back when they were sold new.
I just had to pick it up.

When it arrived:


First things first, a mordern Shimano XT padels

These original tires look pretty cool, but were melting away


Had these cheap rubbers lying arround, they had to do the trick for the first tryout




I was very impressed!
The bike rode smoothly and could be ridden fast!

The more I rode it, the more I liked it










I've always been a rapidfire man, but this gripshift sistem works perfecly

Meanwhile, the bike got some flashy tires!


I'm really happy with it.
I have a modern MTB too, but I enjoy ridding this trek from time to time.
Those trek folks knew quite well what they were doing in 1997.

The steel frame is very comfy, but the bike can be ridden aggressively and with confidence.
