Trek MTB project frame and interesting story

Good Evening
This is one of the most interesting purchase on ebay I have made a year ago because the first time the seller declined to investigate to inquiry about shipping costs to my country and didn't want to sell me the frame. I relaunched him a month later and told him that the frame hasn't been sold and that I would pay the shipping.I waited for his response where he gave me a very reasonable shipping cost and I accepted the deal because for the price I bought this frame it was a bargain like my other Trek. Other things heavily impacted for me into buying a Trek:
-handmade welded frame in the USA
-my size
-lightweight and sturdy frame
-rare and very unique color
I have looked at other brands such as GT but many were overpriced and in not so great shape, same with Specialized, Rocky Mountain and Kona frames.
When you hunt and you are stubborn you can make good deals and find real gems.

After purchasing the right components I finally succeeded to get it assembled by my bike shop and it is a terrific ride

I love this paint job.
I had for a while a Trek 6000 frame in 13" with a bit similar color I've built up for my oldest son.

It was most likely End of 90ties, but never found it in a catalog or buyers guide.

What year is yours?

Just the paint wasn't very robust, just by regular usage in the 1-2 years till he was grown out, we've got a lot of chips.
I hope yours is better or I would recommend to take care a bit better as my boy.
