Retro Newbie
Ok,
I really wanted to know what sort of money I should be asking for a bike that was gifted to my son. One of the guys at work has constantly been on at me to sell it to him and has offered me £100 . I realise it's probably worth more and my son is at university doing film and wants a camera upgrade so is trying to get as much as he can. I planned on putting it on eBay but wanted to know if selling it here or even elsewhere might realise him more money. Can someone enlighten me please. I have attached photos as it had been used for years and sat in a friend's garage for a long time doing nothing.
I had it serviced at Halfords and then my son buckled the wheel and it has gone into retirement again. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance Niall

really nice bikes. I had one of these as a youth/junior racer in 16.5”- very capable. looks like a very big frame though which might limit your market. Definitely worth more than 100 notes all in.

They're nice bikes, I always liked the earlier lugged Trek frames. I'd say it's worth between £150 and £200, but I did notice that the seat clamp bolt is missing. Does that mean the seat post is seized in the frame? That would affect its value.

Also looks like the handlebars have been cut really short which is a shame.
