hi all
i knew this would stir the waters a bit. figured most would dislike it. does get peoples attention though. as for size, it is a bit on the big side for me. but road bikes have lower seats relative to handlebars. it rides just fine. is very quick compared to standard mountain bike. but because i still have mountain bike gears i can't keep up to buddies on real road bikes. it weighs in somewhere around 18 or 19 pounds. the avid ultimate brakes and levers are the best v brakes i've ever tried. almost put me over the bars first time i really laid on them. was a bit scarey. i'm surprised no one has commented on the 29/26 front rear wheel combo. but i kept both rolf wheels. my own version of trek's 69'er. just a fun build.
