Trek Singletrack 970 Mountain bike Red True Temper steel lugged frame Size large - early to mid 1990s
Frome Community Bike Project is a non-profit business which promotes cycling as a sustainable alternative to driving.
All of our bike are fully and professionally serviced in our own workshop.
This lovely Trek 970 is in excellent lightly used condition and feature most of its original components including Shimano Deore DX deraillieurs and hubs. The frame is True Temper lugged steel and surprisingly light. The original integrated shifters were broken so these and the brake levers have been replaced with other suitable ones (though not Deore) Wheels are Mavic Matrix.Tyres are virtually new Bontrager.
This is a large frame bike and would probably suit someone who is 6' or slightly taller.
A rare chance to own a bit Treks bike building history.
