Hi just found this web site. Thought i'd let u guys know i've put mine on e bay , maybe of interest to someone . It still wears the original dura ace brake calipers/ hubs and headset. it's been converted to a hybrid eg flat bars but still have the dura ace 8 speed shifters for it. I've had it since about 2000 and hardly used it as i got into mountain biking. Just realised it's a 5500 not a 5200

sorry just read the site rules, realised i've already contraviened them - not a very good start to the forum - my apologies. Just found the site and dived in as i would like the bike to go to someone who appreciates it's heritage and will look after it instead of abusing it as a hack.

I hope to become an active member as i also have a 1997 marin rift zone / rocky mountain etsx 70 ( 2003ish) and a giant atx 875. Once again sorry

No need to apologise, I amn't the police or anything! You might want to put ebay in the title and it will save people coming in.

Most people will try to sell things on the forum first before taking it to ebay. I sold a bike frame on the forum for 220 and 6 months later it appeared on ebay and it only went for 130 ( which minus fees would be about 115) so the forum does have many advantages.
