Transferring Gripshift Max. Possible with different stops?

Image correct orientation on Photobucket!

Hi all

My Raleigh Mirage has the stops flush against the downtube. Unlike the Bronx - as you can see, the stops are raised to allow the adjuster. Shown in picture.

Will Gripshift Max work without this adjuster(s) because there seems to be no room for it (them) on the Mirage?

My front (double) and rear mechs are Shimano Sora.

Thanks in anticipation.

Is there not an adjuster where the cable exits the shifter?

the adjusters are just there to make your life easier. The rear mech also has an adjuster anyway, and the front never really needs that much fine adjustment.

No idea! First time using them! If you google "Gripshift Max" you can see the plastic casing. It does not seem to lend itself to twisting.

yes. There is. First image on Googles shows it.

Down tube adjusters aren't needed.
