Townsend mtb 1990s with shimano acera

Closing in on this mtb which i now believe to be a Townsend maybe 1993.Would love to know model if anyone has any ideas.Made from Duratech carbon steel tubing.Thanks

The frame does look very similar to a Townsend I have... especially the cable routing on the top tube.

What type of Townsend is it please so i can have a look Dies it have Acera x on it too?

Apologies, I was mistaken. I was getting confused with another bike. The cable routing on the top tube is similar though.

Yes I still have it. That's an odd place to put a sticker on that bike. Maybe the TC is for Townsend Cycles?

Good shout.Its an odd bike.Looks brand new but has a strange Dura tech tubing badge which i can find no trace of.Is your Acera X too?

That frame looks like it's been painted?

The Acera X could have been replacements so it's not always the best way to identify a frame.

Mine has the mighty Altus groupset.

drop outs and fork put it in the townsend/falcon/british eagle frame ish. whats the headtube diameter?

sticker might not be legit.
