What do you think of this years Tour de France so far?

Meh...

I watched the first few days, but have missed most of this week, including the crashes. I find it hard to get excited about the TDF.

The WC downhill at Lenzerheide the other week... now that's a different matter

I love it - and this year already has some great stories, real grit from some, tantums from others

It is a 3 week epic journey and almost anything can happen - for me it is the antithesis of all this "I want it exciting and I want it now" view many people want in their lives

Cant watch it live as I have too much going on but every night I sit down at 7:00 and see what unfolds. I think the presenters do a good job of balancing "making entertainment" and actually giving you a sense of what it going on

fwiw I am not a roadie and am completely uninterested in the bikes, its the people that make it interesting

I am a big fan too, I record it and catch up later as well. Due to work I am a couple of days behind but looking forward to a big catch up on Monday .

Agreed on the commentary, always adds interest to proceedings.

I think it has been the best opening week for years, rarely can I remember enjoying it as much since Cipollini stopped racing. If it continues at this rate it should rival the Pantani years in the mountains too.

Last year had so much promise but so many contenders were out way too early.
