Touch screen mobiles

Wife needs a new phone. In leiu of doing any research myself which should I go for

-Nokia N8
-An android offering (HTC desrire HD for example)
-A windows 7 offering (HTC 7 mozart for example)
-iphone

Guess iphone would be the generic choice BUT she might not get a good upgrade (nor tbh would be that bothered).

my phone is due for renewal aswel, a touchscreen samsung, utter rubbish but as i use a macbook now aswel as itunes i have decided to go for an iphone myself, having researched the deals available i have found that three.co.uk offer the best deal for me.

£99 upfront
£30 a month
500mb internet
300 minutes
5000 texts :shock: never get through that lot!
18 month contract

bearing in mind i currently pay £30 a month including the samsung i can just consider the £99 a one off payment

the i phone 3 is less aswel, and most people consider that a good phone, i want the iphone 4 because the camera is better though.

Don't go for Windows. I have one through work, rubbish OS for a phone.
Iphone is gadgety, as a phone can be a pain, at least thats what friends tell me.
Android seems a good way to go, I have HTC fan mates.

You have the WP7 or an older version.
I've read good things about the WP7 setup, quite different to the old ones.

That said it's a new kid on the block in comparison to the other two, so just getting of going.

My sis has the HTC Android and it's does it's job and stuff
seen iOS phones are much and much the same as them
I assume WP7 is also much and much the same.
Go go for the prettier one.

Sorry no help, but I don't think the WP7's are any worse then the other two systems.

have an HTC Wildfire running android, lovely little phone, 159 quid payg on tesco, £2/wk for unlimiteed web access.

I've been drooling over the N8 for a while, only just released in this country. Reviews I have seen are pretty good.

I will be getting one some time soonish as my contract on my E71will run out in a few months.

HTC Desire HD is supposed to be a good phone too, but I like me Nokia's.

Avoid Windows by a mile, they're poo and I can't be bothered arguing why. If she gets HTC go to the " Market " and download the Opera browswe as it doesn't crash when Retrobike is on.

Had a HTC Wildfire, N97, Pixon 12 & iPhone 4...

All great besides the Pixon. If she's not extremely gadgety, I'd get her the wildfire. If you're going for used aswell. The HTC is alot cheaper IMO.. Meaning more value for money. If you'd like a used one. I have one, VGC. With it's box and all the other wires and stuff. Besides headphones.
