having just read those 2 links from stew, it would seem there is conflicting reports on whether the guy who got shot was a good or bad guy but as far as the riots go i don't think they cared about that guy either way, it was just an excuse to loot stuff and have some "fun" on the streets.

all i can say is i am glad i don't live in our nations "great" capital.

yeah theres something abit fishy about the guy, he has no real previous apart from his cousin getting stabbed in some gang related thing...but then where did the bullet in the radio come from? the police could have planted it and the gun i suppose but it doesnt seem very likely.

I mean unless the copper involved was called vic mackay.

I was just thinking how much the actual financial costs of this rioting is going to be, with all these burnt to the ground buildings its going to be massive!

I suggest we take the cash to pay for it out of the council funding for the area. No more community centres for these idiots, of course then they would riot because they have nothing to do...and the area is deprived etc.

What will happen instead is it will all get rebuilt then there will be massive financial injections to satiate them, which will just encourage them not to strive to get out of their situation...Britain is seriously broken, if you want something for nothing be a scumbag.

Idiots the lot of them, the IPCC was on the scene the same day and no one really knows what happened at the moment anyway...it's hardly rodney king is it?
