what did you do to resolve the crack on the interior of the arm where it leads to the JIS taper?

Totally weld the entire end closed and re-machine?

If not, that crack will be visiting you again soon...please be careful.

after all that nice hard work and polishing you fit some rusty shimano crank bolts! lol, either way good effort dude...
 
My mate is the in house welding expert at my place of work.
I know of Metmachex at Alfreton, they make bike swingarms etc.....
 
I agree it looks superb on the outside, but I don't understand how it can possibly have enough strength underneath. Surely the stresses from being clamped onto a taper and subject to pedalling torque must be huge. Was it welded or fused back together in some way?
