I see this sort of thing quite often - sometimes an item in watching at a realistic price jumps into 5 figures.
Is it sold off ebay then raise the price so it doesn't sell again?
Is it money laundering?
"This 20k officer? Lucky ebay sale."
I've sold a few of these over the years, under 200 in great condition, but probably wouldn't try now because it'sa hard sale in Bristol (where gears and brakes matter) and the value achieved might not cover purchase, servicing and warranty costs.
