Finally its finished !
It’s surprising how quickly 9 months can pass! I had planned to get the bike finished and delivered to Tom before the end of summer 2013 but with a monumental amount of work project pressure and client deadlines to meet, it simply didn’t happen. Then came the rain, then came more rain, then it really rained hard all winter….
Finally it became a little drier and Spring arrived, along with a window of opportunity and fresh incentive to wrap this project up.
All that remained was to configure a bail-out brake lever, change the rear axle from quick release to solid and following a chat with Tom about the practicality of actually running a fixed wheel machine 100% of the time, it was decided that a single freewheel sprocket should be used instead. The option for switching to ‘fixed’ is still there and a relatively easy swap.
Hope you enjoy it Tom – please do write some feedback here!
