I been looking at some kleins with storm and lighting paints jobs now from the bikes serial number can you tell what the original paint color is or is it just the year of make and it could be any paint scheme they did that year and there's now way to know if it's original or a clone also this is my kleins frame number pcff any help with it year color etc thanks for the help

OK mate so frame numbers will only tell you make year and we're it was made then you have to look at the year to see what paint designs they did for that year so how do you decifer pcff on my frame any ideas

Serial number is all about traciability in the tube procurement and welding region, for them and for the owner about catastrophic claims.

Paint finish on a Klein is about tartyness and nothing of any structural importance so not encoded in the serial number.

I think the colour is what you see before you. When things change hands, that is of course up to the previous owner(s) to disclose.
