I've always lusted after an Orange Vit T2, were they made by a 'big name'?

I've just got an original Vit and I love it. Think Orange Ti was made in the Far East but I could be wrong. :? :)

Of course I have to say MOOTS. The Rigormootis is much comfier than my old King Kahuna, not as flexy as the Yeti Ti ARC, looks the dog's danglies and has the best welds I have ever seen.

Cheers guys, some good info on here.

Like Kaiser says, its an itch but could turn out to be very expensive scratching it.

Having been away from bikes for almost ten years and not quite the xc whippet I once was, the thought first occurred to me after a rooty ride on the Klein beat the crap out of me. Obviously I'm not riding as hard as I was back then and the stiffness of the Klein is obviously great when you're going for it(ie race mode), but approaching middle age possibly looking for something a little less focused, more forgiving for a bimble in the woods.

I know titanium is more flexible than steel and aluminium, supposedly giving a softer, less rigid ride but I seem to remember Merlin and maybe others coming out with softails with an inch or less of travel, any point to these and will they break? Also seem to remember Ibis I think coming out with a rear suspension bike (Ti-Bow?)with no shock, just relied on the tubes flexing.

Bow Ti or Silk Ti would be a good choice. I've spent a good few hours following a Bow Ti around the natural trails of Yorkshire and Dalby's red route- it has always looked composed and comfortable without any bobbing. They can show a wicked turn of speed too.

If a little rear 'give' is what you are after you should also consider the Moots YBB- Inch and a half travel with no pivot and Daryl Funk is also now making a pivotless Ti full suss frame.

Kona Hei Hei

TBH though you can't go wrong with any of the brands mentioned, for me though I always think of Merlin & Litespeed as Ti specialists
