for some reason i thought the 93 came with a threaded headset..

Not sure, haven't got a 93 brochure - but surely could have been changed?

My 91 Axis is currently running a threadless headset. That may well change, at some point, though.

i didnt know it was possible to convert from threaded to threadless but makes sense :) i'm certainly not complaining as threadless is lighter

Remove the old headset, install a threadless one - just like it's equally possible to go the other way.

It's really more about the fork steerer.

For my 91 Axis, I'll likely be going back to threaded because I want to use some threaded forks on it, rather than the threadless P2s it currently sports.

Re: Titanium dillemma.. which to choose!? Update: picked AXI

i guess it was the less common 1-1/8 threaded headset.. no matter.. now it's not  i kinda want to polish the frame.. but i also want to get started building it!

I wouldn't polish the frame. I've heard that changing the finish of ti frames can damage them, by removing too much metal, as they are so thin to start with
