Titanium and Blue

What is it with titanium and blue bits? I just took delivery of a GT Xizang and went looking through the net for inspiration. It seems that 90% of Ti bikes are accented with blue and turquoise. Is there a real reason or has habit become tradition?

Orange / mango is best, followed by blue, then purple, black goes with anything but works well, silver doesn't look good IMHO, red looks terrible, see my red cranks in my fleet thread linked in my signature.

You need to add another option for mango / orange as this looks the best although is ver rare and possibly only limited to CK stuff.

Blue FTW!

Blue and titanium is the best combination in my opinion, red just seemd to be such a contrast and a bit shouty compared to the understated titanium.

see the red cranks that just seem to stand out like a sore thumb & appear to me to be at odds with the ti:

I don't like the look of the red forks either have some polished silver Z2's to go on.

Purple or black or red or blue or green each look great on ti frame as long as not over kill.

The red above does not go, but not because of the Ti frame but because of the yellow decays
