'Tis the season for hearty soups

made a lovely thick pea soup yesterday....chucked lots of stuff in it
Onion
Garlic
Lentils
Brocolli stalk
Brocolli leaves
Carrot
Seasoning
huge bag of peas...and other stuff I can't remember
whizzed it down and served with parmesan cheese and french bread
blooming lovely thick tasty green quagmire

The wife makes a lovely pea and ham soup, Unfortunately i'm only allowed a little bit as it makes me smell bad afterwards :shock:

Excellent with home made bread though

Cawl, if it counts as a soup. It's more of a stew to be honest.

OK if it has to be soup, we really enjoy Nigella's Butternut Squash and Sweet Potato.

Aye certainly is the right weather for it, my mrs made a big pot of chicken and veg soup the other day. My favourite of hers is minestrone! During the winter she makes alot of soup so i can take it to work(i work outside all day) which is pretty handy @ pickle that looks a nice stew, and well presented
