Tire Clearance on GT Bologna Lite Fork

Anyone know the tire clearance on these beautiful forks? Want to put a bigger, taller tire up front for a Rigid GT. Right now it has a 2.1 Panaracer Fire up front. Would like a bigger: Specialized Purgatory 2.4, Kenda Excavator 2.35, Specialized Captain 2.2, WTB Bronson 2.3, etc. Let me know if you can thank you.

Biggest problem would be getting the tire past the cantis, most likely would have to inflate once installed.

Do you mean the cantilever section of the Fork or the brakes themselves? I'm running V-brakes on the bike in question. Would really like to try the 2.4 Specialized Purgatory but have heard that it is biiig for a 2.4 so, still in the air. Anyway thank you for the replies so far, seems like a 2.3 WTB tire should fit as they run a little small. The Kenda Excavator is such a favorite of mine, but they run very true to size even bigger than marked, so the 2.35 may not work either.

What width do you have between the tubes? I have various 2.3 - 2.5 tyres amd can measure the widest point.

Same problem cantilever or V brake. A wide tire when fully inflated will get hung up on the brake pads when installing the wheel (after changing a flat etc.). V brake could have the additional problem of the arms rubbing on the outside of the tread when braking.

Thank you is that a solid way to determine the tire clearance of a fork? I will get the measurements shortly.

Re:

Alright a bigger tire can fit. Mounted a Kenda Blue Groove 2.35. This is a big tire and Kenda doesn't lie, (cough Maxxis, WTB, Specialized, etc cough). No clearance issues with the GT Bologna Lite fork. Have done a few short rides with it. No rubbing, huge improvement. Can smash through rougher terrain now at faster speeds vs. the 2.1 Panaracer Fire.
