tioga disc drive

What is the actual construction of these disc drive wheels?
Only ever seen them in photos. Are the rims and hubs changeable?

to a point, only certain hubs & rims depending on dimensions.

So is the disc a one (or two, one each side) piece contraption that attaches to the spoke holes? How does it attach? Does it completely replace spokes?

yes, it completely replaces the spokes. 2 sheets, that attach to each side of the hub, then to the spoke nipples.

Thanks. :)

Does anyone know the best way to clean them?

I pulled this old wheel out of my closet. I completely forgot about it 15 years ago.

What is the best way to get rid of 15 year old grease and grime? Do you think I should disassemble the wheel to clean out the (in)sides? Any recommended cleaning fluids?

I don't really plan on riding it - I wanted to clean it and hang it on the wall.

(I also planned to have the two other DDpro's built up about 20 years ago - I simply never got around to having them done. One of the DDpros is the titanium one).

thank you in advance!

No doubt you've already had a ton of offers but if you'd like to shift one of those Disk Drives on I'd be very interested....
