These pics are before I got it stripped down to the frame.

This will be quite easy. Whoever fitted those brifters didn’t give a toss about the bike though. They’re in the bin along with the reflectors and mudguards. A good clean of the parts, a bit of t
-cut / polish and some easy touching up to do.

It’s just the seal. It clips in to the bottom off the cup and whoever has been inside has squashed it by the looks of it. I probably should have uploaded these first so it doesn’t look like my assembly

Another finished off. Had some DX brake / gear levers so chucked them on. Quite a mean looking bike I reckon. 13.54kg

A good, honest 531 frame and a DX groupset. What’s not to like? The sort of thing I’m half heartedly looking out for. My son wants a bike to get around on. There are probably plenty out there.
