Morning All,
Can I ask for some help in identifying my bike please. I now seem to be going in circles.

From what I've learnt so far.

The parts on it lead me to believe it's early 1960's ish.

It's straight gauge tubing and Heavy so a low end model.

The rear drop out is specific to Raleigh but the Headbadge has two vertical rivets 44mm apart (not the 3 on a Raleigh)

I am thinking it's one of the smaller brands eaten up by TI (Tube Investments) in the late 50's/60's. Like Sun or Hercules (as the badges look about right for the marks on my frame) but I can't find any which look the same. Although both are close.

The forks on mine have plain lugs at the top so not the Raleigh roll top and Sun have some scrolling. Hercules pictures are hard to find.

It has frame numbers on the BB shell/Seat Tube lug and stearer tube. The Seat Tube lug is the only one with suffix "A" the others are just the number. 70187 A.

I am keeping it and the value is low but I would like to give it its branding back.

Any help appreciated.

Ta

Re:

Its a Raleigh frame, but the forks do not look right to me, although 26 TPI.
You might have Raleigh hubs, the rest is not original. Looks like one of the Lenton series, perhaps Triumph? When TI bought Raleigh I think Hercules were made by Phillips.

The original forks would determine which Raleigh badge it had.

Re:

Thanks Keith, that's appreciated.

I'm confident the forks are original. They have the same frame number stamped on the stearer.

The Triumph pictures I've just looked at look very close (the closest I've seen so far) Some even have the same fork crown.

But the Triumph head badge has 3 rivets holding it on. (Although I did see a very old one with two)

I'll look some more at Triumph. And do some research on the frame number.

I have a very simmilar frame, always thought it was a Rudge Pathfinder, think I have the later Grand Prix model as I have double braze on gear bosses, 2ba thread though.
Until they bought Carlton Raleigh had a few Lenton variations.
My frame has 24tpi threads on the fork and BB.
