Hi
I know this isnt strictly a retro frame question but bound to be plenty of experience of frame refinishing here!!!
I've got a pal with a RSP 550, the yellow & blue flamed jobbie!!!
He wants to strip/blast it before applying some sort of 'mat' clear coat.
Question is simple really: what are the pit falls (if any) & is it worth stripping the paint ourselves or just have it done professionally he has seen a couple on google that have been stripped and then clear coated without removing the bluing and tarnishing from welding which he quite likes!!
Any way thoughts would be great!!!
Also any idea on cost & recommendations for folk who will do this in Scotland!!
Cheers
Cary
