why go to all this trouble and then paint the head tube the wrong colour??!

Raleigh team race colours were initially yellow head stock, they changed to black appx late 77, early 1978

The team colours did indeed have a yellow head tube to start off with up to 1975

And was changed for the 1976 season.

But for the life of me I can't remember an SBDU 753 one with a yellow head tube........

that's a new one to me, shaun. i've never seen a ti raleigh frame with the head tube painted
yellow like that before. the catalogue is ancient - circa mid 70s - well before my time . .

Even the humble early Europa (carlton frame) started life with a yellow head tube.

And later went black headtube with a Raleigh frame.

I remember selling them, they were just about average but the colour scheme made them sell in their thousands Kept me in a job

Well, 753 was introduced in 1976, so yeah, I guess the headtube should really be black.
