You mentioned knobblies . I was thinking may be some Conti Classics . I love the impregnability of Marathons but they deaden the ride so much . She looks like she'd be quite sprightly .
The Marathons are not that bad, actually. I was thinking of a Schwalbe CX Comp. Which Conti's do you have in mind? You mentioned knobblies . I was thinking may be some Conti Classics . I love the impregnability of Marathons but they deaden the ride so much . She looks like she'd be quite sprightly .
They do some called Gran Prix Classic . They have a lighter coloured tan wall than other Conti's and while they're only available in 25c they are quite tall from the rim so the ride is softer .The Marathons are not that bad, actually. They are nice. But I like the wider tyres. Some pasela 35mm may be an option. They do some called Gran Prix Classic . They have a lighter coloured tan wall than other Conti's and while they're only available in 25c they are quite tall from the rim so the ride is softer .
Love a Pasela , got 'em on loads of bikes . They can be a bit slippy when new and in the wet though .They are nice. But I like the wider tyres. Some pasela 35mm may be an option.
The only time I've punctured on Marathons was in Brixton in a blizzard and I had to walk home . When I fixed the puncture I found 2 cm of the bottom of a pint glass in the tyre ! Grrrrr! The Marathons are not that bad, actually. I was thinking of a Schwalbe CX Comp. Which Conti's do you have in mind?
I punctured one not that long ago. It was time to replace it anyway. No idea what it was, it was easier to walk back to the bike shop than walk home. The only time I've punctured on Marathons was in Brixton in a blizzard and I had to walk home .
