Bar ends on riser bars! No. Just no. The bar ends have to go: weight saving and aesthetics are in happy alignment on that point.

I think it’s safe to say if peachy thinks it’s worth bothering with it will look a hell of a lot better than it currently does - with a lot of wrongs put right.


I’m just not convinced it’s worth the effort - but then 99% of folk think that of the Kirk I rolled in glitter and it’s one of favourite builds

Lol! Don’t worry guys, this one has already ended up in the storage shed... I’m gonna break the mould and build a full sus carbon Trek “Y” for next years MM. I will probably re-visit this in a couple of years....

I've recently added a few better bits to my Claud Ventoux 400. Modern quality cartridge bearing wheels in place of the cup and cone bearings and its went from a slog to a smooth easy to propel ride.

I reckon if you dressed the frame up in everything modern and high end, you'd find the frame performs as good as any.
