Good news on a stuck seatpost in these is that the steel lug only goes down a little way and the carbon tube isn't in contact with the post below that

I got a stuck post out of one of these many years ago

They're ace fun btw.

Funny, I've been looking at old Diamondbacks this week. They definitely had/have a certain presence and air of no-nonsense quality.

Think I used to drool over a shiny steel Axis:

a good friend at plant cycle works got the seat post of out it for me after doing soo many of them he said that was the worst one hes ever done lol
