This broke off my Shimano 600 caliper...

As per title, this snapped off today when I was cleaning the Vitus 979. Is this just a guide to aid fitting the wheel in a frenzy. I know you need or between the shoe and the caliper too, but that part remains on the bike. Do I need to replace it and where do I get one? Hell, what should I even call it?

Wheel guide which does what it says on the tin . Not mandatory but would look better replaced or both removed. eBay might be your friend here to source a replacement, might have to buy a trashed calliper lol

They are Racodi brake blocks, I have only ever seen photos of Racodi (Spanish company) track bikes but I guess these blocks prove they made other bikes too
