i was up a 30ft ladder in the wind and rain this week, and that was scary!

especially as it was an old, aluminium one that was being bent to the max beyond its weight limit

I think the figure '1700 feet' was mentioned, as he got to the (actual) antenna base, so it's not far off the height of the CN Tower in Toronto.

And, that's very impressive when you're standing on the glass-floor looking straight down at the Ants........ sorry people walking around.
