Got an Alu flex stem for my birthday, thought i was the king. Tightened the pivots up on day 1 and stripped the threads straight outta there. Never told my mum. oops....

I was cutting a seatpost out of a frame, got most of the way there and decided whacking a screwdriver between the post and the frame was a good idea to speed the process up...... The seat tube is now scored internally and desite some rubbing down it has scored the seatpost to hell :roll:

Not my bike but a customer came in to the shop a few years ago and wanted the D-lock bracket removed as the bolts had seized up. IIrc it was a Specialized Stumpjumper of one type or another. I was too enthusiastic in sawing the bolt and ended up putting a groove in the back of his seattube! :shock: Luckily for me the frame was already broken and he just wanted the D-lock bracket so he could fit it to his new bike.
