I've had an S1250 a KH250 and KH400 they drank petrol. If I caned them low/mid 20s mpg. The S1 was faster than the KH but the drum was awful, I blew it up inside a fortnight. Bought the KH250 then very shortly after the 400. My mate bought the S1. The KH400 was a very smooth quick bike. The RD400 would have smashed it to bits though. That said I love Kawasaki, their triples especially. The GT Suzukis were fun too.

My triple had taller gearing for cruising, uprated rear shocks and lowered 'bars. Once rode Plymouth to IoM with 4 big 4 strokes. I was tanking up at every service area! 19 mpg...

They needed the shocks and bars you fitted. Sadly no pics on mine. A lot of my bikes didn't get photographed as no camera, not like today. Laughing at mpg not bike.
